XVP: Personal TVs/DVD Players in Restaurants - an Etiquette ...

I've avoided this thread so far because I knew Mickey Crimm would be
avoiding it and I want to be cool like him. The way I would have handled the noise
would be to not complain because employees in casino eateries are so
incompetent these days for unusual situations that it would only have made matters
worse and I would be more angry. I would use the same technique I do when a
neighbor or his dog is making noise when I'm trying to sleep. I make believe it's
my dog or a close family member making the noise. That makes the sound not
unpleasant. Unless the rake is too high.

JT,
I can always count on most of your posts giving me a smile and a few
chuckles. It's comforting to know that there is at least one other member
who does not mind that the readers will think that he's way out in left
field. However, after considerable thought on this, I think that you have
departed the pull hitter's corner, and after huffing all the rosin bags in
the bullpen, climbed the wall, past the cheap seats, and are lost somewhere
in the bleachers :-).

I think it is the side effects the of too much helium in the vicinity
a certain online xmas card. Check the old bike tires. They look a
little low.
