After learning how to walk, talk & chew gum at the same time, moved up (or do
wn?) the skills ladder by reading email, newspaper & watching TV all at
once. Today while practicing these skills, I:
Learned where the term "parting shot" came from: Parthian archers were so
adept that they could turn around & shoot while riding away from their enemies
-- the Parthian shot later became the parting shot.
Read one of my favorite cartoons LuAnn by Greg Evans. Reading 6/26 paper
today (yes, I am slow):
LuAnn: telling her friend that her brother, Brad, is turning his life around
& getting fit for fire academy.
LuAnn: "Without Brad, I won't have a loser to blame my miserable life on."
Friend: "Nope, just yourself."
