XVP New radio show coming

First, happy New Year all, and good luck in 2005.

Long time since I've contributed here, but I want to make you aware
of a new weekly radio show we're recording the demo for next week.
Some of you know that I've been with Westwood One Radio Network for
quite a few years, and next Sunday we'll be doing a demo
for "Gambler's Forum Radio"(c. 2004). It'll be a live weekly show
featuring discussion, live callers, and special expert guests from
various areas of gaming. Obviously, we hope that when we plan
segments on vp, many in the group will be willing to participate.

In the future, we hope to expand to "Gambler's Forum TV" (c. 2004)
but that's puting the cart before the horse right now. If all goes
well, we'll hit the air around March of 2005, and we anticipate 20
of the top 50 markets by the time we debut. I'll keep the group
posted on progress.

Co-hosting the show with me will be Allen DeRosie, who you may
remember as ADR in his posts here. Allen has a media background
also, but also has 35+ years as a gambling pro. He was earning a
living at Texas hold em before any of us had even heard of the game.

We're very excited, and we hope that online forums like vpfree will
help us spread the word when we finally make it to the air.

I'm in Washington state, will it be available here or is it just
Vegas local?

Our target date is March, 2005, Scott, but we will not debut the
show until several key markets are cleared. To answer a previous
question, the show will not originate in Las Vegas, but in the L.A.
area. Of course we want to be heard in Vegas also...there are so
many great promotional opportunities.

We're also hoping to have the interim website up tomorrow. There'll
be a link to contact us about being a guest on the show. I'll post
specifics here when there's actually something to look at.

Once the site is ready and the start-up stations are lined up, a
complete schedule and station list will be posted on the site.
