I must agree with you on this. I also do not feel that "being
drunk" is excusable for serious car injuries or auto related
deaths. Being drunk and behind the wheel is against the law in
every state and therefore the law has been broken already.
What really bothers me about nevada, is the man that hit the
megabucks winner (the waitress/server) who ended up paralyzed and
her sister dead...had been charged with DUI and DWI several times,
was out free and still drinking at different casinos. He claimed
that in one news article I had read.
As for the Dram Laws -- all I have to say is a person who is 21
years of age
and older is allowed to vote, serve in the military and mayby die -
- should
also be held accountable for his / her own actions. The public
should not be
held accountable.
