I doubt that this would have been the philosophy of Carrie Nation.
I don't believe that James implied that the player shouldn't be
served ANY alcholic beverage.
Maybe James is just an ordinary player like me, who would prefer not
to contend with a falling down drunk either in a casino or while
driving home!
Or, perhaps, like a casino attorney, who feels an obligation to
insure that his client is not sued under Dram Shop laws, for
continuing to serve an intoxicated patron.
