At 2266 (11:06PM) last night the jackpot hit $16,666,666.66
I tried to play $3 that instant, but the amount was increasing so fast
I couldn't do it! Also, every display had a slightly different amount.

This is odd. Because, according to the IGT website - located at
http://www.igtonline.com/megajackpots/nevada/systems/flash_megabucks1_00.html
- the jackpot did NOT hit last night.
The IGT site says that the jackpot is currently $16,686,981 and climbing.
It also says that the jackpot amount was last updated today (3/28/06) at
5:35pm.
Since I am in California, I cannot drive to a casino to verify that the
information on the IGT website is correct or not.
Maybe the $16,666,666 was a malfunction?

He didnt say it hit, just that he saw it as it passed that specific
number.

You are correct. He said, "the jackpot hit...." So, I thought that that
Megabucks *HIT* (not that it reached a specific figure). Sorry about that.
But, I am glad that it didn't hit! That means I might have a chance when I
get into town this Friday!
