You've gotten some good advice here so far. Some other data to
consider. It's not clear what type of folks your friends are and
hence what they'd like. The fashionistas is a good show, but the
Krave is a gay club but the subject matter of the show is no more
revealing than pleny of what you'd see on the strip. That said, I
liked it a lot. Clint Holmes tix can be gotten as 241's pretty
easily and he is a performer from another era. Probably won't be
around for ever either. Also, consider Mama Mia with 1/2 price
tickets. About $50 before tax/fees. Saw these at the Fashion Show
mall outlet in early July. If they don't mind spending a little,
the cleapest Mystere tix are about $70 bucks now. Same for Zumanity
on a special through the rest of the summer ( pretty good seats
too ). Buy them directly from the hotel and do it early to get the
best seats.
If they like comedy I've found Harrah's improv to be the best value
where your shoes don't stick to the floor. The comedy stop at the
Trop is cheap but a kind of an awful venue. Don't go to the the
Riv's comedy club. The second city at the flamingo is not a great
value for the money, nor is George Wallace. Carrot Top at the
Luxor is funny but spendy at about $50 -- young people like this
guy. Pen and Teller are pretty cool but too expensive at $80.
If they're a little more bawdy type folks the impersonator show at
the Imperial Palace is good fun and even better with a load on.
Not sure what their travel dates are but the following website lists
just about everything;

They can check for concernts and headliner appearances for their
dates of interest. I've done this before and found some fun
concerts with bands from my youth or a comic or singer I really
wanted to see.
Finally, have them check out the Fontana lounge at the Bellagio.
Pricey drinks but a cool way to spend a few hours with good music
and a chance to see a fountain show in a cool setting. Hope they
have fun.

. Therefore, I would be much appreciative if
some local folks would give me their opinion of the best shows to
recommend, based on both appeal and value.
We saw (I for the second time) Clint Holmes this week and again I
note what
a good show he gives. High energy and fun and full of his life,
which is an
interesting one. I recommend it and it is (free to a Diamond
member of
Harrah's) $69 which is a bargain for a show on the Strip.
