Too bad, although it was nice while it lasted. I take it that the new fare
structure began on 1/1/06.
Now, at $5 per ride, or $9 per round trip, or 10 rides for $35, my wife and I will
be using the LV Monorail a lot less often, if at all.

All of us Nevada I.D. carriers have scored on the Monorail fare
increase. I Live in Northern Nevada but I get Las Vegas T.V.
channels. The L.V. local news reported that although the fare is
going up for tourists, Nevada I.D. carriers get a fare decrease to
$1. Not just L.V. locals, but all Nevada residents. I hope they
didn't get the story wrong. Good luck.
You did not get the story wrong, as far as I know. People with valid Nevada
ID's get a nice fare break on the Monorail. It is the non-Nevadans that are
negatively affected.
