XVP long haul taxi form

I barely even payed attention to the surroundings, but it is pretty hard

to not notice

being in the tunnel, especially in the daytime.

I said nothing until we arrived at the Palms.

On the trips when I'm driving my own car (as I did in April), I find it to
be a much easier and quicker drive (even if it is marginally further in
distance) to take the interstate (via the tunnel) to the Palms/Rio area that horse
around on the surface streets, the strip, and a dozen or so stoplights.

All of this is true. However, the fare is also noticeably higher
since the distance is longer. All he has to do is ASK. Tell me the
tunnel fare and the other fare and tell me the tunnel is faster.

Its my ride and my decision.

Given the savings in time, the fare should be the same anyhow.

And for that matter, cab fares from the airport to major destinations
should be a FLAT FARE and that should be prominently displayed at
the taxi stand and in/on the cabs. No more monkey business of any
kind. Of course, that is probably why we don't have flat fares.
