Did the right thing brother!! Cabbies are like that everywhere. Me and my wife
are from Winnipeg, Manitoba (i.e. not locals). Two summers ago, I was too
gassed to take the Deuce back from Fremont to the Frontier so we got a cab. $22
later the guy wanted his fare. I knew he didn't go straight to our
hotel; "Oh we'll take the 15 then turn here, hang a left then a right. Ooooops,
where did this construction come from? Guess we'll have to turn here" Need I
say anything else?
I'll be in Vegas next month and I will not stand for this kind of shenanigans
ever again. Cabbies beware!! This Canuck is onto you all!!

In April I took my first LV cab in 10 years. My flight
was canceled. It was 1am on a Tuesday (no traffic) and
the taxi took me through the tunnel.
