While I'm here, Rodney King didn't say, "Can't we all just get along?" I
was watching the live news conference, from my burning house I might add, in
which a nervous King tried to stop the rioting by reading a prepared statement.
He looked at it then looked away. The only words he could stutter were
extemporaneous, "Can we all get along?" I understand he's not an impressive human
being but that moment was real, from the heart.
