xvp -las vegas worse ripoff rips even more

I will be visiting Sam's Town on July 11th, and my husband and I have to take a cab from the airport, unless someone knows a better way. Is there something I should say to the drvier so he doesn't trick me? I know Sam's Town is a few miles from the strip, so I didn't know if the tunnel comment still appplied.

You could take the Greyline shuttle but it goes to Downtown first. The
cabs best route would be to take Tropicana to Nellis and then left to
Harmon and left on Boulder Hwy. The airport tunnel would definately be
the long way around.

If u have luggage showtime shuttle runs to sams town and is available outside of baggage claim - they go fairly direct and even with 2 cheaper than the rip off taxis. If u have no baggage besides minimum carry ons you can take either bus #108 or 109 from the zero level (one level below bag claim) and transfer to #202 on flamingo to sams town -if u are a rated player you might want to check with your host to c if u qualify for a limo or regular car pickup at the price of a gratuity to the driver

You could also take Swenson (road that leads out of the airport) to
Flamingo. Turn right onto Flamingo and stay on that until it crossed
Boulder Highway. Sam's Town is right at the intersection.

You're in Vegas baby, spring for a Limo at $35 for the hour. Go first class.

this is right from Sam's Town web site, the taxi price is probably
not the new rates:

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE

Shuttle service from the airport is provided by Showtime Airport
Shuttle Service. The cost is $20 per person one way or $35 per person
round trip from Sam's Town to Airport. The shuttle service begins at
7:00 AM and ends at 1:00 AM. Call Showtime Tours 24 hours in advance
for pickup at Sam's Town, 702-261-6100. From the airport, go to the
shuttle booth outside door 12 to make shuttle arrangements. Taxi
service also available from $18 to $25 for up to 4 people one-way.
