In the early 90's we spent a week at a time share swap at a place behind the Flamingo and took lots of day trips.
one was to Zion National Park and the other national park North of Zion.
Than we went to the Grand Canyon and spent the night in Laughlin on the way back.
we would start out early in the morning about 5 or so on these trips.
We had a whole week near the trip and our bankroll was not big enough to last a week on the strip.

Why don't you head north to Mesquite (gambling there) and en route there is
an attraction (I'm in NYC now so I can't remember) but I think it's Indian
caves. Then from there (if you want to stay overnight) you can see the
magnificent Zion park, a drive-through, and even get to Bryce Canyon.Karen
