I checked the price for a car in Vegas on March 30th for 3 days and
was given 3 days at the weekend rate of 18.75. When I put in the FF05
code they came up with a daily rate of 19.95 and then took the code
discount of 10% off of that!! CAVEAT EMPTOR. I really expected better
of Dollar.
XVP Isn't Dollar rent-a-car sort of cheating here?

Several times when I've checked Dollar pricing with various codes, the
codes actually gave me a higher price than without a code.
FTR, at this time I do not think there is a valid code that is for LV
reservations.

My understanding is that the FF in code FF05 stands for "friends and family." If you fall into this category, you are entitled to get a discount off of the "regular" rate, which I'm guessing is $19.95. The $18.75 rate you found was probably a special. (You see things like this with hotel and airline employee rates, as well as with negotiated corporate rates from travel providers.)
So, here are my questions... if you're really "friends and family" of an employee, why didn't your friend/family member tell you this? If you're not, are you griping that Dollar isn't giving you a big enough discount on a code that you're not entitled to use?
