This Hyatt is classified as a resort but it's been behind it's other resorts
in amenities. Now with the renovations of last year, it has finally caught up.
Where their other resorts have lavish lagoon swimming area (usually tropical
themes), this is a more austere lagoon swimming area due to climate. The pools
are outdoor, yes, OUTDOOR where the snow is falling. There are jet spas &
wading pools but also a heated walkway around the pool areas and, lo & behold,
there is also a swim-out pool that has a meandering connection to the main pool.
The swim-out pool is indoors so that you can avoid the cold weather outside.
When you swim out you can still avoid the cold weather because the pool is
heated. An amazing sight from my window was to see one guest swimming during a
bitterly cold morning. Believe most people are like me, they assume you can't
swim when it's snowing & don't even ask about it. The nice folks at Casino
Services were very glad to educate me.
