Harrah's Horseshoe (Binion's) reopened 4/1/2004. For Video Poker Players, not too many changes,
the Triple Play that has 10/7 DB is still there but I think there are less of them. Cash Back appears to be about the same, and they are honoring former cash built up. Same card still being used. Comps built up generally lost but they gave me a small one based on the fact that I was a "player" before. Progressive's seem to be where they left off but there are fewer of them. Aces/faces still there.
For Blackjack and Keno Players it is an April Fool's Joke. No Single decks except one rip off 6/5 for Blackjack single deck. AVOID AT ALL COST! Shoes and double deck for regular BJ, dealer hits soft 17 with double after split.
For Keno Players the 7/8/9 spot progressive is gone. The 7 spot progressive was nearly at break even when Binion's closed as Binion's. Current Keno pay table, including "specials" has no ticket that I analyzed with a house edge <28%. The Cal has much better keno odds.
The coffee shop now features chinese.
Craps is 3/4/5 X's odds.
I received a $21/nite room offer for some dates this month.
No mention of the former weekly VP tourney.
Nothing has been done for non smokers or to improve the air quaility in the casino.
Employees seemed to be happy under the new management, this could be a plus.
