XVP Hand pay spinoff, why ?

When I hit a royal at The Grand Gulfport they came over paid me, reset the
machine and left. They never asked me to play it off. I stood there for a
minute, thought it looked pretty good and left it. About 5 minutes later someone
came over put in a bill and played it off. I don't know if she noticed she was
playing off a royal or not.

Since some people don't like to play machines that have "just hit",
some casinos don't like to leave big winners showing on the screen.
Mohegan Sun takes it a step further. When a floorperson issues a
hand pay, even when the player is just cashing out credits without a
winning hand showing on the screen, the floorperson will play the
payout off the screen.

Doesn't that constitute an employee playing at a casino? If the
machine "won", wouldn't customer assume the game was rigged so that
an employee "won"?

The few times I have witnessed this event, if the employee won
anything it was put back in the hopper. However, the employee made
every attempt to loose, i.e., split pairs, kept trash, low cards,etc.
