XVP - guarding your social security#

Oh no, it was indeed Neteller. The same scam was tried by Netteller later the
same day. A friend of mine also tried to sign up for their service online. He
got a similar message when trying to sign up and when he called them he was
given the same line of crap that I was and was told how this was "very unusual"
for them to have to do.

Neteller indeed requires SSN's for new signups. In the past, giving
them a SSN was not required. This is not their choosing, it has
something to do with the Patriot Act.
