XVP: Google thinks vpFree is spam!?

Hello,

I have a gmail account and I receive an email for every post made to vpFree
(and vpFreeReno). Suddenly, without any explanation I can think of, gmail
has decided that vpFree postings are spam and automatically directed them to
my spam folder. Has this happened to anyone else? I read about 50-75% of the
vpFree postings I get and cannot fathom why, after at least a year of being
a subscriber, it suddenly happened that vpFree is now considered spam. The
worst part about it is that this cannot seem to be undone. I go into my
spam folder and mark the messages as "not as spam" but gmail will still
direct future vpFree emails into the spam directory.

Interestingly, it seems that some particular posters, such as mickey crim
[sp], are not considered spam. So occassionally, now, I am treated to pieces
of a thread when the rest of it is in the spam directory.

Has anyone else encountered this and, if so, what did you do to alleviate
the problem? Thanks.

Google makes their own spam rules. I suggest setting up a yahoo mail account, adding it to your membership profile, selecting it as your main email, and the messages will route to that email address. You do have to check another email account, but you can set it up as one of your home pages when you open your browser & it'll be automatic. Best solution I can think of.

Unfortunately yahoo mail doesn't allow a filter with automatic forwarding to another email, like gmail does, so you can't forward the messages to your gmail account.

Gmail recently started putting many vpFREE posts in my spam folder,
too. I know why.

A couple weeks ago, a vpFREE subscriber sent spam to the list (most
likely, as a result of an infected computer.) I marked it as spam,
and now I have a bunch of valid messages going to spam.

Perhaps you did the same thing?

I'm told gmail handles that on a per box basis.

Amusingly, I get google alerts at this address. They go to the spam folder too.
