I would not recommend this show. I saw it the month it opened and talked to
the Bette Midler, JanisJoplin, Phyllis Diller impersonator after the show.
She admitted that they are still "working out the kinks". She was the premier
performer , IMHO>
If you liked the Monkee Davy? one entertainer does him and also does the
falsetto of Frank Valli?? or whoever it was in the 60's that sang at high pitch .
Parts were good but there were so many characters that did very little except
appear (Charo, Goldie Hawn, etc) it was too fragmented. The impersonator
that played Reba McIntire in the previous show didn't seem to shine in this new
venue.
The Dolly Parton player is comidic and did Lucy Ball and some other
character. The black male part of the troupe did Little Richard and Stevie
Wonder....all the others were so-so but it was the "bit appearances" that offered very
little. In and out!!!
