I would also appreciate recommendations for a good hosting company.
Have a lot of data, so need a host that can handle that rapidly.

Try either 1and1.com or godaddy.com, both have been stable for myself.

I have been using Inmotion Hosting for a couple of years. They are geared more
towards business but they are fine for a personal site as well. To me the
business emphasis means they have competent support help and uptime >99.9%.
