XVP: educating fellow players

I used to think that it's better to keep my mouth shut than to try to help
others because there have been so many times when advice isn't appreciated.

I'm still of that mind but my recent trip to Jackson has convinced me that it
doesn't hurt to chat with others & impart what your preferences.

I've only been to Thunder Valley in Sacramento once (on opening day) & have
never been back. Fellow players also said they wouldn't go back & actively
encouraged me to stay away. One lady even told me to call them to say why. It
seems that the average player is smarter than we give them credit for. They do
know the difference between pay tables & are doing their best to wise people up.

It's probably the best defensive move. The future is frightening when a place
like Thunder Valley has the overwhelming success that it has. If left
unchecked, it will encourage other casinos to follow their lead. If the frequent
players are educated to stay away, then the transient traffic will soon run out of
bankroll or run to better venues. Since I don't see Thunder Valley changing
their ways anytime soon, the disparity in fair games might be the best chance
for Reno/Tahoe to stay alive.
