Last night my car was literally blown off the road by strong gusts of wind on I-10, heading West. (Milepost 180.2 on the police report.) My tires and car were in perfect shape, but I was swept right off the interstate, like tumbleweed. My car was totaled--front, back and both sides. Missed oncoming cars heading East on 10, as I faced West up against the metal rail. Guys from Arizona Shuttle were able to pull me out--couldn't see with all the blood, but I'm fine and very grateful to be alive. Ambulance driver and all the staff at Casa Grande Hospital were simply wonderful. (Even had best compliment when they thought I was significantly younger--cloud's silver lining.)
Please be careful if you're traveling on I-10--I was told there were many accidents on certain stretches due to the strong winds. If I had been speeding--a miracle, but I wasn't--I believe I would have been swept into the oncoming traffic. I was alone in my car heading for Nevada. Linda
