Is there something wrong with me when I see the following headline
on
my homepage, "Tonight's VP debate", and immediately think of this
group?

If they would debate the merits of Deuces Wild vs. Joker Wild, or
which slot club is the best one, I would DEFINITELY tune in.
Actually, given that no one really CARES what these two clowns have
to say, perhaps we could have them dress in thong bikinis and have
Jim Lehrer referee a mud-wrestling match between them? Or give them
each a spear and a loincloth, and put them on a deserted island and
see who survives?
Or perhaps a variation on the "Miss America" contest where they each
don tasteful evening wear, each play a musical instrument such as
the tuba or kazoo, and then spend thirty seconds telling the
audience how much they care about world peace. (In this case I would
skip the swimsuit competition, though.)
Better yet-! A variation on "Fear Factor" where they are trussed up
like chickens, dipped in steak sauce, and lowered into a tank full
of starving crocodiles, and not pulled out until one of them
screams, "OKAY! I ADMIT IT! NO ONE CARES WHO GETS TO BE VICE-
PRESIDENT!!!"
All these great ideas I have to improve ratings, and no one
listens...
