XVP: coffee makers in LV rooms

Thanks for that. I have not stayed at any of those places.
I was just wondering if anyone had a good idea for hot water.
I think I will buy myself a small hot pot and bring that.
Sometimes I feel like I bring everything I own,-"just in case". I am not a
light packer and this will not help matters. It's all I can do to stay under
the 50lb limit.

I mentioned this to Bev and she remarked that she recalled seeing some
"immersion" heaters that consisted of a wire that you placed into a
cup of water.

A quick internet search found:

Heater - Immersion for Water
Item: 108 $13.95
http://www.goinginstyle.com/gis/body_individual.asp?pf_id=108&dept_id=7

Also found on that website is a bulkier 2-cup heater:

Travel Water Heater
Item: 2450 $38.00

You can buy a so-called Electric Hot Pot for $10 at Walgreens.

http://tinyurl.com/fcs2p

It has all these features:

Boils water fast for instant coffee, tea, soup, noodles and cereal.
  32 oz capacity
  Non-stick cooking surface
  Rotary temperature control
  Easy to clean
  Soft touch grip handle
Press lid lever to open and view food and liquids being prepared
  Made in China
  UL Listed

Well, one could say "Made in China" is not a feature, but a bug!

A similar one should be available at WalMart or Target for around
that price.

Come to think of it, thanks for bringing this item to my attention. I
think I'll buy one tomorrow.
