Because AC means "casino". Foxwoods also has them. As opposed to
regular travel hotels that almost all supply them.
I thought you were intending it in a pejorative way, casting AC as
the ugly sibling of Las Vegas.
I figure LV doesn't have them as they don't want you in the room
any extra minute that you could be gambling or spending money!
That makes sense from Casino's perspective. Yet (at least in AC) I
have seen long lines to redeem $5, long lines to get a ticket to go
play a slot machine in a tournament, ...
I have to tell this before I continue.
Last week Resorts had a slot tounament. Anybody (no invitation)
who had a Resorts players card could take a whack at the slot
machine for ten minutes, but first had to stand in line, for the
Resorts operative to swipe your card and write (physically)
your name and card number on a piece of paper. Armed with this,
you go to the bank of slot machines. The line took about 20-25
minutes, with two people doing all this "processing". Meanwhile,
a third person was giving away T-shirts to people who played
the day before, who didn't qualify for the top ten or so cash
prizes, but did manage to score among the top 25 scores.
It was pathetic to see these two people s-l-o-w-l-y writing
the names down, while the third one was giving away a T-shirt
once every so often. My name got totally butchered.
The intermediate step of having your name written down was
totally unnecessary. Having a third person intermittently
occupied with dispensing T-shirts was an inefficient use
of time. aving people stand in line for half-an-hour is a
waste of time and aggravation for the customer, and a wasted
half-an-hour of customer-slot machine interaction. Meanwhile
the pompous casino exec types in their black suits keep going
back and forth oblivious to all that is going on. They see but
don't notice.
I guess they must be saying to themselves: the peasants are truly
revolting!
