XVP: coffee makers in LV rooms

I don't use the "basket". I just put the cup under the water dispenser with
my tea bag in it.

I haven't tried just getting hot water out of the coffeem maker. I'll
try it the next time, and see if it has a strong coffee odor. Wonder
if it'll go away if you run water through it a couple of times. Or
how about if you throw in a spoon of baking soda!

I haven't tried just getting hot water out of the coffee maker.

It doesn't matter which casino I've been in, or how many times I run
hot water through the coffee maker, it still tastes like coffee.
So I bring my own pot. you can use the insides of the pot to store your
tea bags and such while traveling. I got a small hot pot at a garage
sale for a quarter. if you look you should be able to pick one up for
no more than a dollar. if I lose this treasure or if it ever gets
stolen, it's no great loss. You also can make soup in it but I've never
done that, what with all the food in vegas. I also bring along one of
those plastic traveler's mugs with the lid. The kind that fit in the
car drink holder. I'm not too keen on using the coffee mugs provided in
the hotel rooms. The mug also can be used to store small items in your
luggage.
