XVP: coffee makers in LV rooms

Just curious: I don't recall any room I've had in LV that supplied a coffee
making setup. Normally this doesn't bother me as I don't drink coffee; but I
do appreciate a cup of hot tea in the morning and sometimes an herbal tea
before retiring. I have found that most hotel coffee makers make the hot water
taste like coffee and ruin the taste of my tea. However, some hotels, even the
ones in AC, have a modern type that can just put the hot water into the
clean cup and eliminates the coffee taste.
Does anyone make tea or coffee in their room with their own pot?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could get a travel-worthy
gadget that would heat up water?
Thanks to all you savvy travelers.

Now that you mentioned hotels in AC, (why did you say even the ones
in AC!) I have stayed at Harrahs, Showboat and Resorts several times.
Harrahs and Showboat have coffee makers and refrigerators in the
rooms, and I use them quite a bit. Resorts doesn't have either; at
least in the Tower I stayed in. One of the newer rooms in Harrahs
even had a Clock Radio/CD Player combo. The recent room I stayed in
at Harrahs (Bay Tower) had both a tub and a shower.

I haven't tried just getting hot water out of the coffeem maker. I'll
try it the next time, and see if it has a strong coffee odor. Wonder
if it'll go away if you run water through it a couple of times. Or
how about if you throw in a spoon of baking soda!

Oops, I may have just ruined one of the fine coffee makers at
Harrahs! But then, what can they do? I'm just -

There is a gadget called an infuser, I have had one for at least 30
years and bought a new one not too long ago. This is just a metal
coil with a clip on it that fastens to your coffee/tea cup. It has
a short, probably 18-inch cord that plugs in. It will heat a cup of
water to boiling very quickly. It costs only a couple of dollars,
and makes tea, instant coffee, instant soup, hot chocolate very
quickly. I can't remember where I got my last one, Target, I think.
