XVP : Coast Steakhouses : Cortez Room or Canal Street ???

On our next trip out, we're planning on taking Coasts up on their 1/2
point special.

We're going to either the Gold Coast or Orleans, so it'll be Cortez
Room (GC) or Canal Street (Orl)

Prices at Cortez room are quite about 20% cheaper than at Canal
Street. Is Canal Street that much better?

All reviews and opinions welcomed.

I've never been to the Cortez Room but we had a lovely dinner at Canal Street. The food was very good but the most fun we had was watching the mural on the wall. It changes from day to night and black lights have a very interesting effect on it. If you go there be sure to ask for a table so you can watch the mural. They will know what you're talking about. If it's more expensive, it's worth it.

I ate at the Cortez room once. I found the service and food to be above average. I found the value to be very good especially if you like prime rib.

We have eaten at Canal Street at least a dozen times and the meals

and service were always great. It is a little pricey but we never
paid for the meals so it wasn't an issue.
