Anyone wanting free admission to the Exhibit area of Consumer Electronics
Association's large show in Vegas (Jan. 8-11) can now go to CESweb.org and
register for free- - use priority code CES4
This is a large trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Be prepared to prove that you have some connection to the "industry" and are
not just some Joe Sixpack looking for some place to pick up autographed
posters of the "booth babes" in the car stereo exhibit area.
Although it's rarely enforced, they say they want you to show a business
card or some sort of picture ID from your company when you pick up your
credentials at the convention center. If you've never registered before, you might
need to fabricate an "industry affiliation" of some sort on the on-line form.
It's a real interesting show, though....well worth the effort of taking a
look at if you can get in. They've shifted the dates more toward the weekend
this year, so I'm not sure what that's going to do to room dates and overall
congestion during the convention.
