XVP: Ceasars Blackjack rules

I'll be heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks to stay & play at
Ceasars. The updates about the Harrah's changes are invaluable to
me and I thank the vpFree list for their input during the recent
discussions.

As my buddy is not a VP player, I'll probably be spending a fair
amount of time playing Blackjack with him during this trip. Can
anyone confirm the Blackjack rules followed by Ceasars so that I can
practice/memorize the appropriate strategy chart? He will most
likely be playing at the shoe-based games, $25-$100/hand, if that
matters.

# of decks?
Dealer stand or hit on soft 17?
Double after split?
Re-split Aces or just one card?
Late surrender?
Any thing else I should know about their BJ games?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Very good question. I have the same, given my trip in 2 weeks out
there too! A follow up question for anyone, is there a list, site
or group that provides updates on BJ or other games similar to this
excellent VP group ?

The best one I've seen is at bj21.com. It is a Sanford Wong site. You
can subscribe for a single month and the database is comprehensive and
updated on a monthly basis. The cost is usually nominal if you are
serious about playing. A free list is reachable through a link at
vphomepage.com (scot kister's bj conditions). It is free but often
dated information. Good luck.

You guys are playing the right game at Caesars unless
Harrah's makes more changes. At the $25 tables, the
dealer stays on soft 17, late surrender, resplit aces
but one card on each, and DAS. The $10 tables were
changed to dealer H-17 very shortly after the
takeover.

Buying a copy of the current CBJN is a very good idea.
