My experience with a few credit card companies:
1. FirstUSA - These clowns are heavily into affiliate cards, if a
business seems to have their own Visa/MC credit card then there's a good change
FirstUSA is behind it. I had one. Once. They used to attempt nailing me
for late payments, when I'd call to complain and insist it was impossible,
they'd explain how it takes a week after they get the payment to get it
processed internally so that's why the payment was posted 1 day late. Claimed
it was legit, I offered to involve my attorney buddy at the law firm of
Bendover and Hangon. Charge deleted. Stay very far away from this bank.
2. GM Card - Had this for a long time until they were sold to someone
else. Used to be a great deal. Now they pull stunts like changing your due
date and hoping that you are a creature of habit and didn't notice, thereby
causing a late payment.
3. Chase - As mentioned in a previous post, no problems.
