The reason that seven is rolled more than any other number is because there
are more ways that a seven can be made than any other number. No, five does
not come up as often as seven.
There are 6 ways to roll a seven: 1+6, 2+5, 3+4, 4+3, 5+2, 6+1
There are 5 ways to roll six: 1+5, 2+4, 3+3, 4+2, 5+1
There are 5 ways to roll eight: 2+6, 3+5, 4+4, 5+3, 6+2
There are 4 ways to roll five: 1+4, 2+3, 3+2, 4+1
There are 4 ways to roll nine: 3+6, 4+5, 5+4, 6+3
There are 3 ways to roll four: 1+3, 2+2, 3+1
There are 3 ways to roll ten: 4+6, 5+5, 6+4
There are 2 ways to roll three: 1+2, 2+1
There are 2 ways to roll eleven: 5+6, 6+5
There is 1 way to roll snake eyes: 1+1
There is 1 way to roll box cars: 6+6

Hi all
It's a day off and I'll spend afternoon getting a stomach scope and a
CAT scan. While waiting till time to leave for hospital, I watched
the Cheers postman tour the monopoly plant in a show called Made In
America. Better way to use a 1/2 hr than watching reruns of Brady
Bunch. Anyway, a monopoly rep at the plant said the #7 comes up most
often in dice rolls. I didn't know that. I guess a regular craps
player would know? Then I wondered, wouldn't there be two numbers
come up equally. I would guess snake eyes and box cars (or whatever
the players call them) should come up the same? Thinking along this
line, wouldn't 5 come up as often as 7? Or is 7 the most often
rolled?
Cheers....Jeep
