If the deal in the jurisdiction where you are playing is a random deal and the paytable is acceptable, you can make money just as you would in Las Vegas, Atlantic City or anywhere else that has a random deal.
(Just the fact that it is a video lottery terminal has nothing to do with making or losing money.)
