XVP -- cable internet

Well,

I finally made the plunge and decided to order hi speed internet cable access. I looked on the comcast website and the price was $42.95 a month, $15 quickie installation, $3 per month for a cable modem for a total of $290.70 for the first 6 months. Too much.

Got a flyer in the mail for $19.95 for the first 6 months, $3 a month cable modem rental and $10 install for a total of $147.70. Better but still too much.

I was looking to buy a cable modem and came across www.comcastoffers.com. $19.95 a month, free modem, no install charge and a $50 rebate. $69.70 for the first 6 months. So I ordered.

I have to believe that the name of a company with offers tagged on the end might generate a money saving website.

Anyone else thinking of Comcast cable internet service, I suggest using www.comcastoffers.com

Now I have some cash for on line poker.

Nice price. I've been looking too, and I'd go for that pricing, but
it says only for existing Concast Video customers. I tried my local
cable net name with "offers" attached and it did indeed call up a web
page, but the pricing was 29.95/mo and no rebate which I think is
their standard offer, the only difference being they offered free
installation. And I don't have their cable TV which might be required.

Anyhow, thanks for the info, but looks like I have to keep shopping.
