Sorry to post this here but I wasn't sure where to turn...a friend asked me
what a blackjack dealer makes. I wasn't sure so I was hoping the group
could give me a range. I realize it may be significantly different....if
someone is working at a major casino vs. small and the tips but any insight
would be helpful. Thanks.

When I dealt in 1990, the salary was minimum wage. I heard it was
slightly higher than minimum wage in the nicest casinos. Tips would
be $20/day at the saddest downtown dives, and about $80/day at a busy
locals place like a Stations or Coast casino. From what I heard, at a
big strip casino a dealer could take home $100-$300 in tips for a
day's work.
