XVP - BJ tournament for beginner

My apologies for the delayed response but I was in Oklahoma this weekend so
that the TV guys & gals could film some extra shows for the upcoming Winstar
World Blackjack Championship. All qualifiers had to show up or lose their
earned seat. Those were some long hours and this is first time in three days
I've been able to catch up.

That was some excellent advice. Ken Smith's Blackjackinfo.com has a link on
the left side of the main page to the Strategy Trainer. Give that a shot,
pretty good stuff. Remember that it'll teach you basic strategy only, albeit
for a multitude of different variations of casino blackjack that you can
choose. It'll teach you little about BJ tournament strategy - which is an
entirely different animal.

Rule of thumb for those two suggested sites:
Blackjackinfo.com for casino blackjack info and chat
Blackjacktournaments.com for tournament blackjack info and chat.

Both are simply excellent in their respective specialties.

What would be a good computer tutorial for someone to learn bj in a
couple days. The object is to get into a free tournament and have a
shot at a cash prize. With a lot of luck and some skill at playing one
might have a shot at winning. Beginners luck is a real phenomenon: in
my opinion.

Both have discussion boards. I bet Marksalot will point you over there too.

Hi Marksalot

Both great places to visit. Thanks for the reply. My wife has been
using the strategy trainer and she is doing ok. She is having
trouble with pair splits and double downs, but that is normal. I
think she is ok to go as it's a free tournament.

Cheers Jeep
