XVP: Best on-line Texas holdem bonus deal

I've been playing internet poker for several years so I'm not too
familiar with sign up bonuses anymore, but I know that Full Tilt
Poker (not a major site yet, but run by reputable people) has a
100% bonus for new sign ups ($600 max) that has been
extended through November.

IMO, the major consideration in choosing bonuses is whether
the site is reputable, has good games at your limits, and how
much play it takes to earn the bonus. The norm used to be
that five raked hands would release $1 of bonus money, but
many places now require ten hands and may also stiplulate
other requirements.

The Full Tilt bonus takes FOREVER to clear. It's the raked hand
requirement that is the key rather than the actual %.

$100 isn't a very big bankroll to deposit. Even at microlimits it
would not last very long at all. It's always best to have at least
300x the big blind of the limits you are playing. At .25/.50 limit
hold'em (which is what i would be comfortable with at that bankroll)
the best you could expect to profit is 2.5 bb per hour. $1.25 an hour
isn't worth it.

Even at .50/1.00 limits it's only $2.50 an hour. With your hundred
bucks you would only have 4 buy ins. Maybe you should try to save up
at least $300 before you deposit anywhere. It's fine if you have $100
at a B&M card room or home game...then you can leave anytime and take
your profit. Online card rooms usually have a minimum withdrawl. The
one I usually play at is a $50 minimum withdrawl.
