XVP - Belmont Picks

Hi Gang:
First, I want to make it abundantly clear that although I will be betting
against Big Brown Saturday in the Belmont Stakes, I will be rooting for him to
make history and become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.
From a betting standpoint, there is just no money to be made in this race
with him on top. That, plus the fact that Casino Drive is extremely talented, is
impeccably bred to handle this distance and has been pointed to this race
since his debut in Japan in February leads me to believe that he can pull off
the upset. The fact that Triple Crown spoiler, Edgar Prado, will be aboard
doesn't hurt either.

Hence, these selections:

1) CASINO DRIVE (post position 5, 7-2 odds)
2) BIG BROWN (post position 1, 2-5)
3) TALE OF EKATI (post position 7, 30-1)
4) DENIS OF CORK (post position 4, 12-1)

LONGSHOT: READY'S ECHO (post position 9, 30-1)

Good luck ... and enjoy the spectacle.

Regards,
CoachVee (Tom V)

1) BIG BROWN

2) TALE OF EKATI

This is the 1st time in the last 30 years I expect the triple crown
challenger to actually win the Belmont. Not so much on his talent but the
lack of it from the rest of the field. Casino Drive winning the Belmont on 2
lifetime starts? No way, I say!

Good luck to all.
