XVP: BEGINNING OF THE END FOR SMOKING IN CASINOS?

for lung cancer and other diseases traditionally associated to them.
Japan and Greece have both the highest smoking rate and the lowest
lung cancer rate in the known universe. In the US, exposure to second
hand smoke fell 70% in the last 20 years or so and SHS-related
diseases increased! Nevada has the highest exposure to SHS in the
country and its SHS-related disease rates are the same as, say, in
California. A World Health Organization study found out that people
raised in smoking homes have 50% less incidence of lung cancer than
people raised in smoke-free homes.

Blaming SHS for everything, from lung cancer to ingrown toenails, can
attract a huge constituency but also hinders research on other causes
and protective factors.

about clueless. I am a non-smoking(smoked for 10 yrs) college
graduate and agree 100% with adam.dada. If 2nd hand smoke killed
people, I would have been dead years ago. Why can't we have smoking
places and non-smoking places? What happened to free will and self
responsibility?
