I am very disgusted with all the rental agencies and the exhorbitant fees
attached. I had a bad experience at Alamo last visit and walked out of the
agency and went back to the airport and took the $12 roundtrip shuttle.
Inconvenient, yes, but I felt quite gratified saving $200.

Just got back from a 6 day trip to LV. I had reserved an economy
car with SavMor(Ace) at the airport for 12 noon. I arrived at the
booth at 11:40 AM to get the car. An arrogant Boothling named Dan
informed me that they had no economy cars available, but he would
upgrade me to a midsize if I would pay the difference. I refused.
He then said that I was 20 minutes early and I should wait until
noon.
OK, I waited until noon, went back to the booth and asked for my car.
He said again they didn't have any economy cars and I would have to
pay for an upgrade. After 10 minutes of arguing with this jerk, I
finally said OK to the upgrade. I had just spent 4 & one half hours
on a plane and didn't want to spend the day in the airport.
I took the shuttle to their lot and talked to the guy in the office
there. He immediately took the upgrade charges off and I was on my
way.
This outfit seems to use a bait and switch scam and I would advise
everyone to avoid them, even if they have the lowest price.
