Was thinking about staying there next trip to LV.
Was looking for input regarding how the rooms are.
Do they meet the CQS test?
(As in (C)lean, (Q)uiet and (S)afe)
Any input would be appreciated.

I would say that they pass the "CQS" test but...
They seem to be converted apartments. They have a separate bedroom from the living room, with 2 TV's. The bathroom sink is right next to the bed. The bedroom window may face the neighbors window. I would ask for a top floor room tho (always my preference. They use conventional keys (no key cards) and give warnings about losing your keys.

The quick and dirty answer is no. These are very basic suites that
were originally built as exented stay apartments. The carpet had many
stains and the bedspread did not appear to have been changed in a
long time. The walls are paper thin so we could hear the adjoining
occupants and a group of motorcyclists whot tended to left
early/arrive late each day. Also, the place appeals to families with
lots of young children due to the low rates charged on the weekends.
I also did not like the idea that entry into the rooms was directly
from the outside. We stayed there once and will not be returning.
For only a few dollars more I would recommend Sam's or Boulder
Station which are in both nearby.
Which of the Arizona Charlies' locations is known as "West"? Is it Decatur
or Boulder?
Any input on the Decatur location? Does it pass the "CQS" test?
Thanks,
Rawhidetoo

I too would recommend Boulder Station for that neighborhood. We
stayed there for seven days in June at an average $41/night. Rooms
are clean and nice but not fancy. Plenty of playable VP and decent
food on premise.
Arizona Charlies West is on Decauter. When I lived in
Vegas (last year) it was one of my favorite places to
go. Friendly staff, decent assortment of VP. I never
stayed there but they did an upgrade last year (new
carpet, air filtration system) and you need to realize
that this is considered a locals casino/hotel and has
been open for 15 years. It is clean, and in a pretty
good section of town as far as quiet? Like I said, I
never stayed there.

Its true they are at least 2 rooms and very roomy and adequate but we just didn't get a good feel it and probably won't stay there again. Price was right but the staff was not very friendly or helpful. So bad that we wrote a letter back to the manager after not being able to see one while we were there. We luv to play in the casino though and still do on every trip, just stay elsewhere.

Just a quick note to thank everyone who responded to my original post.
I think you've convinced me to stay elsewhere.
This is really a great board. Great place to drop in on from time to
time and tune in on discussions!
Thanks, Jonathan. I appreciate the feedback.
Any other feedback from members of the group who have stayed at Arizona
Charlies West?
Thanks, in advance.
