Aquarius has invited a friend of mine to two carnival game tournaments
before year-end. He earned spots by hitting designated hands while
playing Crazy 4 Poker and Let It Ride. Both offers include three
nights (weekend), tournament play, and an awards banquet. He said the pit bosses filled out entry forms when he hit the hands
and gave him copies which included booking phone numbers and dates.
He thinks he drew a quad at Crazy 4 Poker and a full house at Let it
Ride.Drew
P.S. He asked me to ask if anyone has a good Let It Ride tournament
strategy. I told him bet half his stack every hand, heavier on the
bets he can pull back, but I don't play the game and really have no
clue.

Cool! I assume these are accumulation type events. But do they thin out the
herd by session or all players in one main round? Maybe they play several
rounds? If there is a chance session scores get posted or at least announced
playing in later rounds will help determine a target score, to cash or to win.
About a third of players eliminate themselves in these kinds of events by not
being aggressive. Bust or advance/cash should be the strategy.
Go over to Ken Smith's www.blackjacktournaments.com site. They will talk up
other tourneys besides BJ. One guy did an Aquarius BJ tourney this summer and
was not impressed with how it was run.
