My wife and I will arrive in Tahoe on April 21st, our 29th
anniversary. We will be there a couple of nights with one of our
sons. We would like a recommendation for a good place to eat. We are
not interested in Seafood, probably Steak. Don't need a romantic
getaway, just a nice restaurant with atmosphere. Don't want a place
where the help comes out and sings "Happy Birthday" to the table next
to us. We are staying in one of the "upscale" rooms on the lake view
side of Harvey's.
Thanks in advance,
Bill
XVP: Anniversary Dinner
The Sage Room at Harvey's has prime beef. The prime rib is excellent.
The atmosphere is old west. It is in the middle of the casino with
no windows.
Fridays Station at Harrah's has a great atmosphere with window views
of Harvey's and the lake from the 18th story. Food is good, but not
as good as Sage room for beef.
There is a another high end restaurant at Harrah's. I believe it is
called the Atrium. I have heard mixed reviews from good to excellent.
We never ate there. They are closed a few nights a week.
Enjoy,
RM

The Sage rooom at Harvey's is very good for steak and has a good warm atmosphere
however it's lack of windows makes one feel a little weird considering you are in one of
the most beautiful places on earth and can't see outside. However there is another
restaurant in Harvey's called 19 Kitchen-Bar which is on the 19th floor, has absolutely
breathtaking views of the Lake and serves excellent steaks as good as the Sage room. I
always make a point of having a meal there when I go to Tahoe and have never been yet
disappointed. You can look at the menu online at the Harrahs website. Just get the
webpage for Harvey's and click on dining.
Hope this helps,
MO
