XVP:An open letter to the anonymous vpFREE administrator

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FREEvpFREE/message/2724

I think it's very funny.

That's the latest of several posts by worldbefree22001
on FREEvpFREE with a "some pigs are more equal than
others on vpFREE" theme.

And, I don't believe there's very much tongue in cheekedness
in these comments.

I've responded to previous posts by worldbefree22001
with a denial of the "more equal" charges but I'm not going
to bother anymore.

FWIW, I try to be completely impartial and fair in administering
the vpFREE groups and any shortcomings are a function of
ineptitude rather than intention. I don't have any personal axes
to grind. I wish some of the snipers could experience the time
and effort and heartache, much of it in private dealings, that
is involved in trying to keep vpFREE non-disruptive and fair.
I appreciate vpFae's past service more and more every day.

I think the administrator currently has his/her hands full over at
FREEvpFREE. JT you write great posts but I think the following was the
funniest piece I have ever read on these forums. I hope our new
administrator has a good sense of humor and got a good laugh out of it
as well.

A word of appology to the administrator. I started
out with the intent to be a little humorous and felt
a little more liscense on FVPF. Satire turned to
something else. As hard as it may be to beleive I do
appreciate the work it must take to make this all go.
Thank you for your efforts and I'll cut it out.

I am normally a lurker, but I do thank and appreciate the admin as
well. However, I think he/she touched on one of the problems below
when (s)he said "much of it in private dealings." I believe if less
of the dealings were private, some of the "all pigs not being equal"
perception would disappear (or, less likely, bear itself out). From
what little is made public, that perception appears justified, even
though worldbefree has just made what appears to be a sincere
apology for it.

There does appear to be some "ineptitude", to use Admin's word, on,
for instance, what is considered an NPC, what threads get moved, and
who does/does not get warned/disciplined. But maybe there isn't, and
maybe if the membership knew more about what was going on, we would
have a better idea.

I believe that the Admin's desires to remain anonymous and to make
arbitrary decisions on which disciplinary actions do/do not become
public come with a price -- that price being the heartache so
sincerely and eloquently expressed below.
