This is nonsense. The only doctor I can imagine saying this is a
doctor who would spend his leisure time listening to Art Bell.
Hot water kills germs. This is fact.

Likewise nonsense. It defies logic and common sense to say that an
alcoholic never gets sick. An alcoholic's immune system is in a
weakened state, and more prone to disease.
Any establishment which aids the homeless is aware of how prone this
group is to disease - much greater than the general public.
Grumpy is not paranoid at all.
I started to show early stages of being Hughesian about germs the more
time I spent in casinos/cardrooms.
I'd be interested in hearing from the females in this forum - in the
men's bathrooms in casinos my informal observations are that 50% of
the men do not wash their hands after urination/defacation.
There was a survey in the newspapers within the last few months of the
% of people who wash hands in public restrooms. It may be possible to
find this via Google if anyone is interested.
One of the prime ways to avoid colds and flu is never to touch the
hands to the mouth or eyes without washing thoroughly with hot water
and soap (the hot water kills germs, the soap hopefully loosens dirt
containing germs).
Being a wino rooting in dumpsters and living in an alley is not a
prime way to avoid colds and flu.
Wiping the machine or not, do NOT put your hands to your face without
washing.
It's easy to unthinkingly rub one's eye or something similar. So
wiping down the machine will make one less prone to pick up germs if
something like this should occur.
