XVP: A Harbinger of Things to Come (?)

Below is the text of a message (which had the subject line: No
More "goodies" Harrahs to offer "Just Rewards") that was posted
about an hour ago on the "harrahscasinos" YAHOO! Group. I did not
see it on vpFREE or on acvpp, so I thought it might be worth passing
along.

I've deleted this message (#91058) because the the post quotes
copyrighted material verbatim, apparently without the author's
permission.

The deleted message reported that Harrah's has eliminated
discretionary comps and is cutting back on everything that
they can.

Genius! When demand is slacking, cut your marketing
efforts, can't miss. If there's a way to short
Harrah's bonds now is a good time to do it. My guess
is they're having trouble making their debt payments.

In my own defense - I copied a message that was posted on a public
forum. There is no "vetting" criteria to become a member, to post
or read messages of the "harrahscasinos" group on YAHOO!GROUPS.

The text of the message was not particularly lenghty; particularly
as compared to numerous other messages posted here.

The text of the message was delivered in the first person and
contained no indication or disclaimer that there was
anyy "copyrighted" material within the message.
