I spent the final night of a seven-day Las Vegas visit at the
Tuscany. Without getting into all the messy details, I'll just say I
quickly discovered that not only had they shorted my comp dollar
balance by about $30, they also quoted me a higher rate for my room
than the one given to me when I reserved it.
I spoke to their Director of Marketing, Julie Hall, about this,
requesting only that she restore the $30 or so to my comp balance, and
that she made sure they charged me the original room rate quoted for
me. I figured if she did this, my comp dollars would just about cover
my room costs.
She did more than I expected, making the room complimentary.
Whereas I would have felt perfectly content to use most of my comp
dollars to pay for the room, she made it unnecessary for me to use any
comp dollars at all. A more than fair deal I thought.
I've already written Julie Hall to thank her. Though I thought it
only right to let the people who read this forum know when a casino
employee goes above and beyond what is asked of her.
