When I have a 3 night offer I usually try to book for less time if I don't
need the room, but sometimes you MUST book for 3 full nights. If so and I don't
intend to use the room, I put a note on the bed saying "this room is
occupied" and a note telling the maid "do not make up bed". This avoids having to
tip the maids for work they don't need to do. I usually check to make sure
notes are still there if I need to keep the room. At checkout I use express
checkout or phone to check out. If I have picked up the gift or finished a
tournament sooner than 3 nights, I just checkout when done - no harm at that
point.
