Just returned from a 7 day trip to Aruba
Since vpFREE2 only keeps tabs on VP in the US and Canada, I'd thought I'd post my recent findings on VP conditions in Aruba here:
Crystal Casino attached to the Renaissance Resort and Mall in downtown Oranjestad: 2 banks of 6 - 25c MG upright machines each that have 9/6 JoB TITO Progressives. Progressives reached $1,200 for a Royal while I was there. Not sure of the meter setting.
They also had 6 - $1.00 MG slanttops that have 9/6 JoB TITO Progressives. But although appearing to be full pay at first glance, these $1.00 machines only paid $2,500 for Royals (with the progressive meters bringing them slightly higher). But definitely not full pay.
Casino at the Radisson on Palm Beach: The Casino at the Radisson on Palm Beach had 4-6 ancient 25c slanttop MG 9/6 JoB machines and 4-6 ancient $1.00 slanttop multi-game 9/6 JoB machines. Both the 25c and $1.00 machines were in banks of machines that also had 7/5 JoB games mixed in, so you have to be careful that you are not playing a short pay version of the same game in the same bank of machines.
Excelsior Casino in The Holiday Inn on Palm Beach
The Excelsior Casino in The Holiday Inn on Palm Beach had 3 - $1.00 Full Pay (99.95%) Pick'Em MG Upright TITO machines.
They also had a number of 25c short pay upright and slanttop Pick'Em machines in MG, 1, 5 and 10 play.
Otherwise, in a quick walkaround the following other casinos:
Stellaris at the Marriott
Alhambra at Manchebo Beach
Copa Cabana Casino at the Hyatt Regency
Casablanca at the Westin
The Occidental Grand Casino
The Seaport Casino in Oranjestad
The Cool Casino at the Riu Palace
I found no VP approaching 99% or better.
The Hyatt Regency Casino, however, does offer $10 of freeplay for Player's Club signup and the Crystal Casino offers $5.00 to $10.00 of FP.
In addtion many $10 matchplays are available in the various local tourist magazines for nearly all the casinos and in most casinos you are allowed to play one MP per day.
Although VP and slots open at most casinos at 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, most table games don't open until 5:00 or 6:00 PM. The two exceptions are the Excelsior at the Holiday Inn where table games open about 12:30 PM and the Crystal Casino downtown Oranjestad that is open 24 hours.
